Two men arrested after series of ‘vigilante incidents’ where details of alleged sex offenders posted
Detectives have charged two men after a series of incidents in Leeds where details of alleged sex offenders have been posted online, police said.
Darren Cosgrove, 47, of Clover Close, Seacroft and Jack Clarkson, 35, of Freemans Way, Wetherby have been charged with violent disorder, stalking and public nuisance.
The charges relate to five incidents between July 12 and August 4 across the Leeds District, West Yorkshire Police said.
They both appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on August 7 and were remanded into custody to next appear at Leeds Crown Court on September 4.
West Yorkshire Police said it “will not tolerate violence or criminal damage and will act against anyone involved in this type of behaviour”.
