The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists Ltd wants to extend its Premises Licence at Angel on the Green, Bishopthorpe Road, to include No. 6 Bishopthorpe Road.
The premises would act as a bar and event space, offering art workshops, coffee mornings, talks, film screenings, and private hire for functions.
Customers will have the option of ordering drinks with or without food, with most expected to be seated at tables.
The existing terms of the licence will remain unchanged.

Individuals wishing to voice their opinions on this proposal can submit their representations in writing to the City of York Council's Licensing Team by 27 August 2026.
The Licensing Application Register is available for viewing at the council offices by arrangement.
Making a false statement in connection with this application can result in a fine upon summary conviction.
