North Yorkshire Council has announced changes to parking on Queen’s Terrace, effective from August 10, 2026.
Under the new rules, parking will be prohibited at all times on the east side of Queen’s Terrace, starting 56 metres north of its junction with West Road, extending to a point 63 metres north of the same junction.
This area will now be reserved as a disabled parking bay.

The changes are being made under an amendment to the North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Scarborough) Consolidation Order 2007.
The council made the amendment on July 28, 2026, following sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
Further details about the order and a map showing the affected roads can be viewed at County Hall, Northallerton, and at the North Yorkshire County Library, Station Avenue, Filey, during normal office hours until September 8, 2026.
