A sheep fell into a river last night – and firefighters came to the rescue.
The incident happened at 5.25pm yesterday(Thursday) off** Ings Road, Lower Dunsforth**.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Ripon, Knaresborough and Richmond responded to a report of a sheep that had fallen from a river bank into the river.

“Crews used the Swift Water rescue sled to cross the river to the location of the sheep and then used crew power to move it to the river bank where it was released unharmed.”
