Train passengers heading to York are being warned of delays and cancellations due to a fire on the line.
Firefighters are dealing with the incident between Huddersfield and Leeds, resulting in disruption for passengers travelling from the stations to York on Friday (August 7), TransPennine Express said.
The rail firm said the fire means trains are having to run at reduced speeds on some lines,
Services running through Huddersfield and Leeds may be delayed or diverted, TransPennine Express said.
Disruption is expected until 12.45pm, it said.

TransPennine Express said shortly after midday that passengers whose train has been cancelled can travel on any TransPennine Express, Northern, or LNER service within the two hours before or after your cancelled service.
“If you require any connecting services, please check information screens or speak to a member of staff,” a TransPennine Express spokesperson said, adding: “We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to your journey today.
“If your journey has been delayed, you may be entitled to some compensation.

Friday's disruption comes as train passengers are suffering a second day of disruption after a power outage ground trains to a halt across the Midlands and north-west England.
Network Rail said “most operators are running a full service” but some disruption remains as “trains and crew return to their normal positions”.
