THIEVES have targeted a York city centre shop and made off with a designer item.
North Yorkshire Police said the theft happened at The Hat Shop in Pavement on Friday, July 24, and involved the theft of a designer cap.
The force issued CCTV images of a man and a woman they would like to speak to in a public appeal.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Anyone who recognises the individuals is asked to contact PC1488 Bell at joanne.bell@northyorkshire.police.uk.
"Alternatively, call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
"Please quote reference 12260141597 when providing information."
