THIEVES have targeted a residential street in a York village and made off with an electric mountain bike.
North Yorkshire Police said a grey-coloured "semi-electric" Orbea Wild bicycle was stolen from outside the front of a house in Westpit Lane, Strensall on Wednesday, July 8.
The theft took place between 10.45am and 11.10am.
New versions of the model retail for four and five figure sums.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured footage on mobile phones, home security cameras, or dashcams.
They also urge anyone with information to come forward.
