FIREFIGHTERS were called out in a coastal North Yorkshire town after a person set a bush on fire trying to destroy a wasp nest.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service says its Whitby and Lythe crews were called out to Green Lane in Whitby at 11.16am today (August 6) after a person was trying to destroy a nest.
