A CAR became stuck after suffering engine failure in the middle of a key North Yorkshire road.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service says its Thirsk Crew were called out to Sutton Bank at 8.47am this morning (August 6) after the car was seen ‘smoking in the road’.

“On arrival the vehicle was found to have suffered an engine failure and had not been on fire. Fire crew, with owners, moved vehicle to a safer location at the top of the bank awaiting recovery,” said a spokesperson for the service.
