Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a motorbike, North Yorkshire Police said.

TWO teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a motorbike.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for information after a motorbike was said to have been stolen from a York suburb.

Police say the suspected theft took place at 7.30pm on Wednesday (August 5).

“Officers responded to reports of two individuals wearing face coverings while pushing a motorcycle on Watson Street. Following a swift search of the area, officers located two suspects and recovered a motorcycle nearby,” said a spokesperson for the force.

Two 13-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and were released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.

Anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious, or who may have CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage that could assist the investigation, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police online or by calling 101.
