A MAN has received emergency treatment in hospital for injuries to his face after an alleged fight with another man in a North Yorkshire pub.

The county's police force said the alleged assault happened in The Moors Inn in Headlands Road, Appleton-le-Moors, on Saturday, August 1.

A force spokesperson said an arrest has been made in connection with the incident, and the person has been released on bail.

The North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "During the assault, the victim sustained several facial injuries.

"Our enquiries are continuing and we are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who has information that could assist our investigation.
