A Yorkshire stately home has slashed ticket prices for families this summer.
Castle Howard, located in North Yorkshire, has introduced a 15 per cent discount on family and child tickets until September 1.
It is part of the government’s Great British Summer Savings VAT reduction scheme, extending the offer to the Castle Howard Arboretum as well.
Ammie Jones, head of sales at Castle Howard, said: "We’re thrilled to offer our family visitors even better value days out during the school holidays.
"We know that summer day trips to Castle Howard are a staple for so many Yorkshire families, so we’re happy to pass on the Great British Summer Savings discounts directly to our visitors.
"It’s easy to spend a whole day at Castle Howard, enjoying our award-winning Skelf Island Adventure Playground, our new Mini Architect Trail for families to enjoy in the house, and Playshapes: Castle Constructors installation."
The discounted tickets include access to Skelf Island and thousands of acres of grounds, gardens and woodland.
A new interactive play installation, Playshapes: Castle Constructors, by Yorkshire artist Pippa Hale is also included.
Discounts are available on children’s meals at the Courtyard Café, Boathouse Café and Fitzroy Café, including the Skelf Island Bag and children’s pizzas.
Tickets are available at castlehoward.co.uk.
