Four men are in custody after a raid in York.
Police were alerted to a suspected burglary at a Network Rail site in the Poppleton area at around 10.20pm on Monday (3 August).
Four people cut through perimeter fencing to break into the site and damaged several drums of cable.

They were seen fleeing the area on foot towards the Arnold Clark dealership on Great North Way, Nether Poppleton.
Police tracked them through a field between Hudson Way and the Arnold Clark car park, where three of the four men were seen climbing a fence into the dealership grounds.
The suspects were then seen attempting to conceal themselves near an electrical and gas box at the front of the depot before making off towards Great North Way and Hudson Way.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Following our enquiries, it is believed that one of the men had also been involved in an earlier burglary that occurred at the same site the day before (Sunday).
“An examination of the scene revealed significant damage to three large spools of high value cable. The cable had been cut and placed on the ground, apparently ready to be removed from the site.”
All four men, aged between 46 and 36 years-old, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken into custody. Further enquiries are ongoing.
