A boy had to go to hospital after being attacked in a York street.
It happened on Sunday(2 August) at about** middayon Moss Street**, close to its junction with** Caesar Court**.
The boy, aged 13, was “strangled, pushed and kicked” during the assault.
Incident location
He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries to his throat and neck.
The attacker is described as:
- a man with tanned skin
- aged in his 40s
- about 5ft 10in tall
- of average build
- with an outgrow buzz-cut hairstyle
- and dark stubble.
He was wearing a red top and dark shorts at the time.
Anyone with information about what happened is asked to contact police.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and been released on bail.
