A couple has found themselves just a short walk away from their daughter after unexpectedly moving into the same housing development in Snaith.
Darren and Deborah Parker, from Sherburn in Elmet, unexpectedly purchased a home in Bellway’s Penny Way development after visiting the site to support their daughter Ishabelle during her own house hunt.
Just two weeks after Ishabelle reserved her home, the Parkers decided to do the same.
Mr Parker said: "I’d only gone along to support Ishabelle while she looked around.
"Moving wasn’t on our radar, but as soon as we saw the development, we both knew this was the place we wanted to call home.
"It all happened much quicker than we expected.
"We were really impressed with the development.
"The homes felt spacious, there was plenty of storage and the whole estate had a lovely feel to it.
"Once we’d seen it, we couldn’t stop thinking about it, we just had to make it happen.
"We can firmly say that Penny Way is an amazing place to call home.
"It’s full of friendly families, lots of lovely scenery, wildlife, walks, space for kids to play and enough shops to satisfy all.
"We are very happy with the location and our lovely Bellway home; definitely of the highest quality; built right."
The family now lives within walking distance of each other.
Miss Parker said: "It’s lovely knowing we are so close.
"We all have our own space, but it’s nice being able to pop round and see each other whenever we want.
"We certainly didn’t expect to end up buying on the same development, but it’s worked out perfectly."
