A Coastguard Rescue Team has helped save a 16-year-old treasured family pet in Flamborough.
Bertie's owners immediately called for assistance after he became stuck in dense undergrowth at the bottom of a steep embankment near the steep cliffs.
A Bridlington team rushed to save the adorable pet.
Station Officer Jordan Grebby said he usually gets called to dogs who have ventured dangerously close over the steep cliffs, but Bertie’s family was different.
He said: “Berties owners did exactly the right thing and, when they realised he was stuck, called 999 and asked for the Coastguard.
“This meant we could get to Bertie quickly and safely reunite him with his owners.”
