A performing arts academy has been named a national finalist.
Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) in York, Scarborough, Beverley, and Hull is a finalist in the Scaling Business of the Year category at The Class Business Awards 2026.
The awards celebrate businesses and individuals delivering outstanding experiences through classes, clubs, and activities across the UK.
PQA has been recognised for its growth and the impact of its academies across Yorkshire.
James Aconley, principal at PQA York, Scarborough, Beverley, and Hull, said: "I'm incredibly proud that our academies have been recognised as finalists for Scaling Business of the Year.
"While it's wonderful to be acknowledged for our growth, what makes this recognition so meaningful is what that growth represents.
"This achievement is a reflection of our fantastic teaching team, the incredible commitment of our families and, most importantly, the amazing young people who inspire us every single weekend.
"We're honoured to be shortlisted alongside so many outstanding businesses and look forward to celebrating with everyone at the awards."
PQA academies offer performing arts training to children and young people.
The 2026 winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on October 10 at the National Conference Centre in Solihull.
