Person rescued after falling in North Yorkshire beck and breaking their ankle

Emergency services were called to help a person injured in a North Yorkshire beck last night (Monday).

It happened at Willow Beck, off Chantry Road in Romanby Northallerton at 5.49pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Stokesley responded to reports of a person who had fallen into a beck and broken their ankle.

“Crews assisted Yorkshire Ambulance Service with removing a casualty from a ditch. The casualty was then taken to hospital.”
