Exotic tastes of the Middle East are coming to Harrogate in a first take-away/ restaurant of its kind.
The arrival of Holy Schnitzel has been confirmed on the premises it will occupy, in what was the home of Stations News Newsagent.
The site at 7 Station Parade is between Husk Beer Emporium and Bar on the left and Mama Doreen's Emporium on the right in the town centre.
Signs over the frontage of the empty shop say “we are opening soon” and include what looks like a breaded chicken schnitzel sandwich.
The move follows an announcement of the ‘Israeli Schnitzel restaurant’ on Harrogate’s Chamber of Commerce website earlier this year.

It said at the time: “The most delicious Israeli schnitzel will be opening in Harrogate, right next to Mama Doreen’s. You’ve got something to look forward to!”
The business will be run by Eyal Martell Hadad, 34, who was born in England but has spent much of his life in Israel, where he has worked in take-aways, having moved there aged 8.
The new food outlet is totally unconnected with a chain of similar venues in the USA, which are also called Holy Schnitzel.
Eyal told the Press: “This will be the first in the UK. It’s going to be brilliant. There will be lots of spices. It’s going to be absolutely banging.”
The menu will include schnitzel, falafel, kebabs and patties which will go into pitta or challa bread. Sauces will include matbucha (a North African sauce with tomatoes, bell pepper, chilli peppers and garlic). Another will be tahini, which is made from ground sesame seeds. There will also be Amaba sauce, a spicy, pickled mango condiment.
Eyal added his take-away will be a great addition to Harrogate’s thriving and extensive food scene. He plans to have it open in September.
