Cross-county search launched for missing man with links to North Yorkshire

A CROSS-COUNTY search has been launched for a man with links to Whitby.

Durham Constabulary have requested the help of people from North Yorkshire in the search for missing 65-year-old Gary.

He was reported missing several weeks ago after his van was found unattended near Aldi in the Newton Aycliffe.

“He is described as average height, with dark hair and a full beard, and often wearing workwear. He also has links to Newton Aycliffe, Whitby and Scotland,” said a spokesperson for the force.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen him, or who knows where he is, and said anyone with any information should call 101, quoting incident reference 389 of June 14.
