THREE people have been checked over by paramedics after emergency services were called to a kitchen fire in North Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said its crews from Harrogate and Tadcaster, along with West Yorkshire crews from Garforth and Pontefract, were called to Low Street in South Milford at 1.50pm today (August 2) after a fire in a “commercial premises with a residential aspect”.

“All persons were out on arrival of crews. The fire originated in the fryers. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, foam extinguishers and a positive pressure ventilation fan to deal with the incident,” said a spokesperson for the service.
They added that three people received precautionary checks on scene from the ambulance service.
