A BUSY York road has reopened after a crash yesterday lunch time.

Barbican Road, just outside York city centre, has reopened at its junctions with Kent Street and Heslington Road following a crash that took place at around 1pm yesterday (August 2).

It is believed to have been a crash involving at least one car and a motorcyclist, although these reports are yet to be officially confirmed by the emergency services.

The air ambulance attended the scene and the roads were cordoned off well into the day, with investigation vehicles spotted at the scene late last night.
