As grass on Hob Moor is still recovering from a wildfire, thought to have been started deliberately, there is news of another issue affecting the farmer.
The owner of cattle on the moor, which is between Acomb and York’s Tadcaster road, says someone keeps vandalising the animal’s water troughs. Three have been damaged in the last week. It’s costing time and money to replace them.
If anyone sees any suspicious activity they should contact the police.
