Two knifemen were among defendants sentenced recently at York Magistrates Court.
Sonia Harvey, 47, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to theft of clothes worth £159.95 from TK Maxx and failure to attend court.
She was given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months.
Jodie Bean, 37, of New Queen Street, Scarborough, denied assaulting a man and a woman in Scarborough.
He was convicted at trial and given a 12-month community order with six months’ alcohol treatment, six months’ alcohol treatment and 10 days’ rehabilitative activities and ordered to pay £250 prosecution costs.
Nicholas Wilson, 35, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to carrying a knife at York Railway Station.
He was jailed for eight months and ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs.
Jayden Baker, 19, of Hertford Close, Eastfield, Scarborough pleaded guilty to carrying a hammer in public as an offensive weapon, carrying a knife in public and affray, all in Scarborough.
He was given a six-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months on condition he does 25 days’ rehabilitative activities.
Laura Brady, 34, of Birch Crescent, Sleights, near Whitby, pleaded guilty to assault and using threatening words and behaviour.
She was jailed for four weeks and ordered to pay £100 compensation.
Joshua Tyssen, 36, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to breach of a restraining order, possessing cannabis and two charges of assaulting police.
He was given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months on condition he does six months’ drug rehabilitation and 35 days’ rehabilitative activities.
