Watch: Drone footage shows moment police arrest pair dealing drugs in alleyway

This video shows the moment police pounce on a pair of drug dealers - after they were spotted by a drone.

Officers from Cleveland Police had spotted drug dealing in the Maple Street area on January 21, 2026, when they were patrolling the area after concerns were raised by local residents.

They watched on as drug exchanges took place near to an alley gate - thanks to the use of the police drone.

Jamie Taylor was tracked by officers who moved in quickly to detain him, when he was found with cash and crack cocaine.

A short time later, Kelly Keogh was found at an address where she was attempting to conceal cocaine.

They were both charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs, and were sentenced on Wednesday (Jul 29) after pleading guilty.

Taylor, 39, of Arrandale in Hemlington, was jailed for 18 months while Keogh, 49, of Regent Road in Middlesbrough, was given an 18-month prison sentence suspended for 18 months.

The police officer leading the case for Cleveland Police said: “I am pleased with this outcome at court.

“We will continue to proactively pursue those that are involved in class A drug dealing in the Middlesbrough area and we will utilise all tools available to us in the fight against drugs.

“We will not tolerate those who cause misery for others for their own criminal gain.”
