A COMBINE was completely destroyed in a field fire in North Yorkshire yesterday evening (Thursday).
Two crews from Malton responded at 7.27pm to a report of the combine on fire in a field near Settrington, which spread to 20 square metre of field.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: "The combine was 100% damaged by fire. Crews extinguished the fire and damped down the surrounding area.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, thermal imaging camera, triple extension ladder, small tools and a reciprocating saw to deal with the incident."
