A major insurance merger aims to improve customer experience and extend services across the region.
NFU Mutual’s Vale of York Agency has joined forces with the Boston Spa Agency to form a single, expanded operation now known as NFU Mutual Vale of York, Leeds & Harrogate.
The combined agency will serve customers from offices in York, Thirsk, and Boston Spa, ensuring continuity for existing clients while making services more accessible to new customers.

The newly merged team now includes 25 staff members, with an expanded reach and focus on delivering a more responsive customer service.
The agent team is made up of Mr Palmer, Jenny Dawson, Matthew Cliff, and Elliot Readman.
Ms Dawson and Mr Palmer have both served as agents since 1993, while Mr Cliff joined the agency in 2016.
Mr Readman began his career with NFU Mutual in 2018 and became the fourth agent in 2025.
The agency will support a broad customer base, including agricultural clients, commercial businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.

The team is further supported by financial adviser Richard Jernsen, who brings 25 years of experience, including 12 years with NFU Mutual.
