A city group is bringing together music and activism in a night aimed at raising funds and challenging hate.
Love Music Hate Racism York will hold its third live gig of 2026 on Thursday, August 13, at The Fulford Arms in York, with the aim of supporting anti-racism efforts in the city.
The event will feature Sleuth Gang, an act blending heavy beats with grime and hip-hop, alongside indie-funk band Lost Trends and garage punk group PAK.
A spokesperson for Love Music Hate Racism York said: "We are really pleased to build on our successes early this year and are delighted that our next gig will be held in the renowned Fulford Arms – a music venue that is loved and respected across the city and beyond.
"The bands have very kindly offered their services at no cost so we can maximise the funding directed to Stand Up To Racism.
"We’re hoping for another sell-out so would advise people to get their tickets as soon as possible if they want to hear some great music whilst helping to fight racism in the city."
Love Music Hate Racism York was set up last autumn following an increase in racist incidents in York and concerns at increasing tensions in the city.
