East Riding of Yorkshire Council has ordered the temporary closure of part of Uncleby Hill, Uncleby, for fibre network installation.
The road will be shut from its junction with North Leys Access Road and Top House Access Road.
The closure will commence at 8am on Tuesday, August 18, and is expected to last until 5pm on Tuesday, August 25.
The work involves the installation of ducting and chambers for the new BDUK fibre network by Quickline Communications.

The council stated that the closure is necessary to ensure public safety during the works.
While the road will be closed to through traffic, access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles, and pedestrians.
A diversion will be in place for affected traffic, including Uncleby Road, Howe Lane, Painsthorpe Lane, Roman Road, and Uncleby Hill, Kirby Underdale.
The order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months or until the completion of the work, whichever comes first.
