A NORTH Yorkshire man has admitted sending a violent threat to a woman and assaulting her.
Owen Hill, 34, of Esplanade Road, Scarborough, pleaded guilty to sending a message threatening to assault the woman.
He also admitted assaulting the woman in Scarborough, causing her actual bodily harm.
Scarborough Magistrates' Court imposed a 12-month community order including six months of alcohol treatment and 15 days of rehabilitation activity.
Hill must not contact the woman under a 12-month restraining order and was ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs.
