A York attraction is on a winning streak – as it wins its fourth award this year.
Just 18 months after opening its doors, family-owned The Puzzling World of Professor Kettlestring on Merchantgate has now collected four major awards, since welcoming its first visitors in January 2025.
The attraction features immersive illusion rooms, interactive exhibits and hands-on experiences, and is owned by Matthew and Marianne Tritton-Hughes.
The latest success sees The Puzzling World of Professor Kettlestring crowned Emerging Tourism Business of the Year 2026 at the SME UK Enterprise Awards – in addition to the accolades already won this year: New Tourism Business of the Year at the Visit York Tourism Awards, Best Tourist Attraction at the YorkWorks Business Awards and Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award 2026.
