Firefighters were called to an incident at a York allotment last night (Thursday).
There was a fire at Fulford Cross Allotments at5.37pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Thirsk, Harrogate and Malton responded to a report of a fire in an allotment.

“Crews extinguished a fire to a compost heap measuring 15m by 15m and also a nearby shed.”
