Family-friendly event in Harrogate will 'strengthen community connections'

A new free festival is to be launched in Harrogate by North Yorkshire Council to “strengthen community connections”.

Harrogate Community Festival will take place on Tuesday, August 11 from 10am to 2pm in the Valley Gardens to bring together local organisations, emergency services, charities and community groups.

This family-friendly event is free and will feature a range of information stands, offering advice, guidance and details about local services and support available to residents.

Organised by Safer North Yorkshire, there will be opportunities to meet representatives from organisations including North Yorkshire Council, North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, North Yorkshire Sport, Harrogate Town AFC, IDAS, Crimestoppers, Ivison Trust, North Yorkshire Youth, NY RISE and others.

There will also be interactive activities designed to engage visitors of all ages, as well as opportunities for families to learn more about the services and organisations that support communities.
