Brits are being warned about leaving one item in their recycling bins that will stop binmen from collecting them.
When you get something delivered to your house, you might just open the box and throw all of the packaging straight into your recycling bins.
A binman has urged people to check what they are throwing in the recycling, as it could mean binmen will refuse to collect your rubbish.
There are a range of household items that you should not throw in the recycling that often catch people out.

What can’t I put in the recycling bin?
Ashley, who is the No. 1 Binman on TikTok, posted a video telling people to never put polystyrene in a recycling bin.
He said it can’t be recycled and might mean binmen will leave your rubbish without collecting it.
Polystyrene is often used when delivering fragile items, as it fills the gaps inside boxes and helps to prevent goods being damaged.
Polystyrene should be removed from cardboard boxes before you put them in the recycling with the polystyrene going into the general waste bin.
A few commenters mentioned how they had no idea about this rule with one saying: "I never knew you couldn’t recycle polystyrene."
Another commenter said: "I genuinely thought it could be recycled."
Another user had checked with their local council who said the polystyrene can simply be put in your black bin instead.
What other items can’t I put in the recycling bin?
Ashley has made other videos where he has told people what not to put in their recycling bin.
He said you should not be putting plastic carrier bags in your recycling bin but instead, you can take them to a supermarket that has a bin for things like bags.
Supermarkets will also collect crisp packets that cannot go into your recycling bin and will mean binmen will refuse to collect your rubbish.
Pizza boxes can go into the recycling bin if they do not have a lot of grease on them but if they are particularly greasy, they should go in the general waste bin.
Vapes are classed as battery waste and electrical waste, which makes them a hazard when trying to process standard household rubbish and must be disposed of separately.
