Two IT professionals have achieved a prestigious honour for partner professionals.
Richard Worth and Robert Dent, who work at Pocklington-based Phoenix Software, have been recognised with Broadcom VCF Knights – Storage certification.
This elite designation recognises outstanding technical leadership, deep expertise, and innovation across Broadcom technologies, including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and NSX.
Mr Worth, infrastructure practice lead at Phoenix Software, said: "The difference with the Knight programme is that it recognises not just what you know, but what you’ve actually delivered.
"It reflects real-world experience — designing, implementing and solving problems for customers."
The Broadcom Knight programme identifies and elevates elite technical experts with advanced mastery in the architecture, design, implementation, and support of Broadcom solutions, including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
The achievement underscores Phoenix Software’s standing as a UK Pinnacle and Expert Advantage Partner for VMware by Broadcom.
Mr Worth has more than 25 years of IT experience and has spent nine years at Phoenix.
He added: "For me, VCF brings together everything we do across networking, storage and virtualisation into one cohesive platform."
Mr Dent, senior technical consultant, has worked with VMware technologies for more than 20 years.
He began his IT career as an apprentice and later worked implementing virtualisation environments at the University of Hull.
He said: "This is one of the highest standards a consultant can achieve.
"It’s exactly the level of expertise customers expect when they’re investing in complex platforms like VMware Cloud Foundation.
"For me, it’s also about continuing to learn and building environments where the wider team can develop their skills."
Achieving Broadcom Knight status is a demanding process that includes passing multiple advanced technical exams, submitting detailed evidence packs demonstrating real customer designs, and delivering a live “show and tell” technical demonstration to a Broadcom sponsor.
