A new brew is set to become a staple at a major UK supermarket chain in celebration of Yorkshire Day.
Morrisons, which has deep roots in the county, will begin offering the tea blended by Taylors of Harrogate at all 343 of its cafés from August 1.
The move honours Morrisons’ heritage and gives customers the chance to enjoy the full flavour of a proper brew during their weekly shop.
Matt Khan, senior trader for Morrisons Café, said: "Yorkshire Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate everything that makes our home county special.
"As a proud Yorkshire business, we're delighted to now serve Yorkshire Tea in all our Cafés.
"Our customers know a proper brew when they taste one, so this feels like the perfect way to mark the occasion."
The offer will pair the brew with classic café favourites such as bangers and mash, ham, egg and chips and hand-battered fish and chips.
Morrisons, which started as a market stall in Bradford in 1899, has remained committed to its Yorkshire roots, keeping its headquarters in the county and employing thousands of people in the region.
Customers can enjoy a cake and any refillable hot drink, excluding hot chocolate and mochas, for just £4.
