A dozen North Yorkshire campsites have been named among the UK’s top family holiday destinations.
Each one has been featured in Campsites.co.uk’s annual Outstanding Family Sites list for 2026, which celebrates the best camping, glamping and touring sites that deliver a “reliably great holiday” experience.
Standout locations include St Helens in the Park, located 15 minutes from the seaside town of Scarborough, which was singled out for its adventure play area, scenic countryside walks, and family-friendly facilities.

St Helens in the Park is part of the 7,500-acre Dawnay Estate and boasts a trim trail, climbing frame, and zip wire, as well as private bathrooms and accessible facilities.
Children can enjoy spotting alpacas and donkeys on nearby walking trails, while parents can relax at Hitch and Brew, the on-site coffee shop serving award-winning coffee, hearty breakfasts, brunches, lunches and homemade sweet treats.
This summer, the park will also feature a changing line-up of food trucks and a fully stocked bar for families to enjoy.
Campers have given the site a 4.81-star rating, with 99 per cent saying they would recommend it to others.
