Elderly woman dies after two-car collision in Sheffield as three others injured

An elderly woman has died after a crash in Sheffield, police said.

Officers were called at 12.45pm on Sunday July 26 following a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a red Honda Jazz and a grey Nissan Note on Ranmoor Park Road at St John's Church.

An 88-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Honda Jazz, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

She has since died, police confirmed.

Her family are being supported by specialist officers.

An 88-year-old man who was driving the Honda Jazz was taken to hospital with injuries but has since been discharged.

A man and a woman in their 80s who were also passengers in the Honda Jazz suffered minor injuries.

As part of enquiries, officers are now calling on anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with relevant information or footage to get in touch.
