An investigation is underway into a serious crash which has closed a main road in North Yorkshire.

North Yorkshire Police said the A170 is expected to remain closed near Pickering until “at least this afternoon (Wednesday, July 29)”.

Wrelton Cliff Road is closed both ways between Pickering and Wrelton after the crash in the early hours of Wednesday.
