York tech firm celebrates more than 30% revenue growth

Abingdon Health has reported more than 30 per cent revenue growth for the 2026 financial year.
The York-based international developer and manufacturer of rapid diagnostic tests saw income rise to £11.3 million for the year ended June 30, up from £8.6 million in 2025.
Revenue for the second half of the financial year was particularly strong, driving the company to adjusted EBITDA ( earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) profitability during the period.

“The CDMO contracts announced during the previous financial year provide a strong foundation for significant revenue growth in FY27 (The year to June 30 2027).
“Abingdon Health is well-positioned to build on this momentum through our integrated, end-to-end service offering and our growing international footprint, particularly servicing clients in the US.”
Second-half revenue increased by 63 per cent compared to the first half, with much of the growth driven by contract development (R&D) services.

The company reported a cash balance of £2.9 million at year-end, up from £1.9 million the previous year.
Abingdon Health said reader unit sales worth £500,000 originally scheduled for the second half were deferred to August at the customer’s request.
The financial results are subject to finalisation and are expected to be published in early October.
The company also continued to invest in its Group businesses during the year, including Abingdon Analytical and the build-out of manufacturing capability at Abingdon Health USA.
These investments are expected to support future growth.
The board said it remains confident about continued growth in FY27, citing significant programmes previously announced and underway.
