A NEW restaurant could be coming to York under plans lodged with the city council.
An application to licence Unit 10 Ryedale Court, in The Village, Haxby, to serve food and alcoholic drinks as part of its transformation into a new café and restaurant.
Applicants 99 Seats Ltd stated the café would serve hot and cold food during the day and the venue would operate as a restaurant with a full menu in the evening.
It would open from 9am to 11pm daily and be licensed to serve alcohol from 11am if City of York Council approves its application.

The application is open for public comments until Monday, August 24.
Plans for the café and restaurant are among the latest licensing applications lodged with the council.
B&M, in Foss Islands Retail Park, has applied to extend its opening hours and times when it is allowed to sell alcohol.
The store, which currently opens from 8am to 10pm daily, would be licensed to sell alcohol from 7am to 11pm if its application is granted.

Manchester-based café Federal has applied to licence 5 Coney Street for alcohol sales as part of its bid to turn the empty unit into a café and bar.
Acomb Working Men’s Club and Institute has applied to licence its Front Street building to host wrestling and boxing matches.
The events would be permitted on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6pm to 11pm if their application is approved.
