AN ICONIC York band are set to hit the road again - 'taking things back to where it all began' with a series of intimate shows.

Shed Seven will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their second album A Maximum High with a UK tour this autumn, performing the record in full at a series of intimate venues.

Shed Seven said: "After the incredible response to our A Maximum High 30th Anniversary show in Halifax, and after hearing that so many of you missed out, we're thrilled to announce a special run of A Maximum High shows this October 2026 and February 2027.

"This time we'll be taking things back to where it all began – smaller, more intimate venues, just like the ones we were playing back in 1996."

The tour does not stop in York, with the closest date set to be Manchester Academy 2 on October 30.

Other dates include Birmingham O2 Institute (October 15), Kingston-upon-Thames Circuit (October 16), London Scala (October 17), Northampton Roadmender (October 29), and Glasgow Barrowland (October 31).

The band added: "We'll be performing A Maximum High in full, followed by a second set of Shed classics, along with a few tracks from our forthcoming self-titled album, Shed Seven."

To mark the tour, Shed Seven are releasing a special edition album A Maximum Lo-Fi, exclusive to the shows, which will include reimagined versions of B-sides and lesser-known tracks from the A Maximum High era, including acoustic and stripped-back renditions.
