Tenpin York, located at Clifton Moor Centre, will feature private karaoke rooms, interactive dartboards, and a new soft play area.
The venue is reducing its bowling lanes from 28 to 24 to make space for the new attractions.
Marc Couget, regional manager at Tenpin, said: "We're incredibly excited to unveil our refurbished centre and share these new experiences with our customers.
"With the addition of brand-new karaoke rooms, interactive darts and a soft play area, we're proud to be one of York's leading indoor entertainment venues.
"We're not just about bowling lanes at Tenpin, our guests can now enjoy a wide range of activities all under one roof, making it the perfect place for family days out."
The refurbishment is scheduled for completion on August 3.
Existing features will remain in place, including Houdini’s escape rooms and the adrenaline-packed 4D laser tag arena.
The entertainment hub will also continue to offer American pool tables and a large arcade area featuring both classic and modern games.
Mr Couget added: "We can't wait to welcome both new and returning visitors from York and the surrounding area, including communities such as Pocklington, Ripon and beyond, to experience everything our newly transformed centre has to offer."
