It can be hard to keep your house smelling nice unless you buy expensive candles and reed diffusers.
With all of the cooking that happens in the kitchen, it can be one of the hardest places to get rid of strong smells.
However, there is a hack that can help keep your kitchen smelling fresh and clean by using a common household product that only costs 37p.

How can I keep my kitchen smelling nice?
In a video posted to social media, Laura said: "I’m going to show you something and once you start doing it, you’ll never look back."
All Laura does is cut a lemon in half and add it to some water in a pot.
She then boils it on a hob in her kitchen and leaves it to simmer for a while.
She added: "This was my absolute go-to when I was managing like 30 properties.
"I’d be given keys to a flat and within 24 hours I’d have to have that flat perfect for the next person moving in.
"I was always trying to use natural cleaning products because when you’re doing all that work, you don’t want to be using loads of chemicals all the time.
"Room sprays were not an option.
"If I got in and there was a strong smell, the first thing I would do is grab a saucepan, I’d usually use lemon or vinegar works well if you have it and water.
"Bring it to the boil and I’d leave that just to simmer away on the hob.
"It can work within as little as 10 minutes."
A single lemon from Tesco costs only 37p with many people already having a few in their kitchen making this hack quick and easy to do.
Why does lemon get rid of bad smells?
Lemons are known for being a powerful natural deodoriser and can help get rid of bad smells around the house.
Lemons have high citric acid content that will neutralise smells rather than just cover them.
The acidic properties will break down the bacteria that causes the odours and will freshen the air with their citrus scent.
