A VEHICLE has been on fire on a major road in York.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said a crew from Huntington was called to the A1237 ring road in Rawcliffe at about 5.30pm yesterday (Monday, July 27).
An overheated headlight bulb was had been on fire, with the vehicle's owner having put it out with a dry powder fire extinguisher prior to the crew's arrival.
A service spokesperson said: "There was damage to the wiring loom only.
"Crews carried out an inspection using a thermal imaging camera and advice was given.
