A chicken rearing company has moved its gas supply in a bid to improve service levels.
Middleton on the Wolds-based Clive Soanes Broilers has switched to Scrayingham-based Rectory Gas Supplies to improve service levels.
Claire Wright, managing director of Clive Soanes Broilers, said: "As a business, we much prefer to deal with other local, family-owned businesses, where you can put a face to the name and excellent customer service comes as standard, so Rectory Gas Supplies was a natural choice."
Rectory Gas Supplies, a third-generation family company in North Yorkshire, was founded in 1988 by farmer Ted Milner.
It began by supplying gas bottles around York and Pocklington before expanding to homes and businesses across the region.
Managing director Liam Milner, who joined the company in 2010, said: "We’re delighted and proud to be working with Claire and the team to supply gas to all six of the Clive Soanes Broilers farms."
