Fire crews spent much of yesterday tackling the inferno at a farm in Fosterhouses, near Doncaster, with residents told to keep doors and windows closed at the height of the flames.
Sharing further details of the incident, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “It was good to see some patches of rain about - but yesterday (Sunday) was another incredibly busy one for our firefighters and control room operators.
“Three barns of hay and farm machinery were involved in the fire.
“Vehicles from Humberside and Nottinghamshire fire and rescue services also supported our response.”
Photos show piles of hay ablaze as well as wrecked machinery in the farm near Fishlake.
Last night, fire crews were also tackling a blaze at Bentley Pit Top.
