'Vibrant community festival' to bring feast of arts and entertainment to Knaresborough for the 30th year

The countdown is on for this year’s Feva festival when Knaresborough will come alive with creativity, entertainment and community spirit.

It’s only a fortnight until the launch of the Festival of Entertainment and Visual Art which will run from Friday, August 14 to Sunday, August 23.

Since it was launched in 1996, Feva has become firmly established as a vibrant community festival, bringing together hundreds of performers, artists, volunteers and visitors.

Organised entirely by volunteers, the not-for-profit festival showcases the extraordinary talent and community spirit that make Knaresborough such a special place.

This year's eclectic and wide-ranging Feva line-up will include free street entertainment, concerts, theatre, art exhibitions, spoken word, family activities, the ever-popular Picnic in the Park, open-air performances and a host of events taking place across venues throughout the town.

Among the many highlights will be Feva Music Festival @ The Kiosk on Saturday, August 15.

This year's festival has been supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, and funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority as part of the Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund and is part of Eventure's year-long programme of free events in Knaresborough.

Much of Feva is free to attend, while ticketed performances and workshops can be booked in advance via the festival website.

Early booking is recommended for popular events.
