THIEVES have targeted a community facility in a North Yorkshire town which police say has seen several criminal incidents since April.
The county's force said there was a burglary at Tadcaster Town Bowling Club in St Joseph's Street over the weekend of Friday, July 24.
A fire escape door was forced open, furniture moved around and the contents of the facility and clubroom disturbed.
PC Nicholas Woods said: "Tadcaster Town Bowling Club is a valued community facility and has unfortunately experienced several incidents involving youths entering the grounds and causing nuisance since April 2026.
"Officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries, and crime scene investigators have examined several items of interest at the scene."
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the St Joseph's Street area between July 24 and July 26, 2026, to come forward if they saw anything suspicious.
This includes unusual activity, people, or vehicles in the vicinity of the club.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
